How can I watch live streams?
Click on the LIVE button at the top of the page and see if there are any live streams. You don't have to be logged in to watch.

How can I live stream?
Register or log in, go to your user page, click on the "Live" tab. There you can generate your stream key. Your stream key is a secret value and should not be revealed to anyone. After that, copy the URL of the stream server and connect to it using your preferred streaming software.

Which streaming software can I use?
You should use any streaming software that supports Real-time Messaging Protocol (RTMP). An example of a popular streaming application that supports RTMP is Open Broadcaster Software (OBS).

How can I connect to start live streaming?
Copy your stream key from the user page, Live tab, and paste it into the connection settings of your streaming software. For example, with OBS:

  • Click on Settings (a new window will open).
  • In the new window, click on Stream.
  • Paste the RTMP server URL in the "Server" text field.
  • Paste your stream key in the "Stream Key" text field.
  • Click Apply and exit the window.
  • Click on the "Start Streaming" button to start the live stream.

My packets (frames in OBS) are being dropped. What's going on?
It could be anything, most likely there is an issue with the network somewhere between you and our server. It's also possible that you're exceeding our maximum input bitrate. If that's the case, please make sure that your streaming software is sending packets at maximum 2 megabits per second.

How can I set my output bitrate?
In OBS:

  • Click on Settings (a new window will open).
  • In the new window, click on Output.
  • In the Streaming section, you will see a Video Bitrate selection. This is in kilobits per second.
  • Adjust the Video Bitrate so that it would not exceed 2000 Kbps. NOTE: the total output bitrate will be the sum of Video and Audio bitrate.
  • Click Apply and exit the window.
  • Click on the "Start Streaming" button, and check your stream speed (kb/s) in the lower right corner.

Can I view how many viewers there are during a live stream?
Yes. The viewer count is displayed (and updated) just under the player on the right side.

Can I earn money while live streaming?
Not yet. But it may be possible in the future, we are always trying to improve our service by adding new features.

I'm streaming, but I don't see my stream on the Live page.
Check your stream privacy setting on your user page, Live tab. Make sure it is set to "Public".

How can I check if a specific person is streaming?
You can check their user profile /profile/username. If the user is streaming, you will see a green indicator with the text 'username' is live.
